I am a 42 year old woman originally from Essex, currently living in Edinburgh.
I started performing in 2006 after taking part in a workshop run by The Stand during The Glasgow Comedy festival, after which I did around 20-30 gigs, mainly 5-10 spots mostly open, but some mid week spots at the stand, some paid. I went on that same year to be a semi finalist at so you think your funny? and Funny woman.
Sadly my circumstances changed and I became a single parent and chose to focus on to raising my twin daughters. I moved to Shropshire where I continued to write material and have written a screenplay, children's book and a radio play as well as many other shorter pieces of work.
I have my roots in radio presenting, and before leaving Edinburgh I trained as a radio producer at Edinburgh College. I hosted a show on an online radio station and community radio station Leith FM, where I produced a series of programs, adverts and sound bites for Scottish homeless and poverty action week.
In 2013 I returned to the pub function room for an ambitious hour show, 'Revenge and 9 other ways too lift your mood'.
The show needed work, but was received well by the audience.
I decide to move back to Edinburgh to pursue a full time comedy career.
During the Edinburgh fringe I worked as part of the production team for Mark Dolan's Fubar radio show.
I am currently performing 5 -10 spots in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Right now I have pink hair.
