Jesse Reynolds is a Canadian actor, host, event emcee and stand-up comedian. Having been involved in entertainment from a young age, Jesse started with drama camps and local theatre while growing up in Canada's capital, culminating with winning a regional public speaking competition in 1998. After that, Jesse went on to lead a successful high school career starring in numerous plays, musicals and the Canadian Improv Games; with accolades in acting from the Sears Ontario Drama Festival.
Subsequently, Jesse studied theatre performance at Humber College in Toronto. Following that, he returned to Ottawa and in addition to continuing his pursuits in acting on-stage and in independent film (including a 2008 People's Choice award from the Eastern Ontario Drama League), Jesse discovered he also has a talent for acting- just as himself! He decided to try his hand at emceeing and was met with much prosperity; Jesse began hosting everything from video spots to grand openings and nightclub parties, fashion shows and charity events.
In 2013, Jesse was dubbed Ottawas Acid Tongue by Capital Xtra for his work in comedy and hosting on the popular pilot web series, 'Zero to Jesse'. He has also had the honour of co-hosting the main stage for Ottawas Capital Pride celebrations in 2011 and 2013. Jesse has worked as an interviewer for Invest Ottawas Global Entrepreneurship Week (2012, 2013), and received rave reviews for his work as a talk-show host on 'Spotlight 613' (2014), a monthly live-entertainment fundraiser for Pink Triangle Services. Most recently, he has ventured in to the world of stand-up comedy, and joined the cast of 'Crazy Chicks', a pilot sitcom about mental health that is part of CBC's 'Comedy Coup' advancement program.
