A happy promoter, May 2019......."As the co-owner of Shorefire comedy, would just like to say, book Neil Braeman. He headlined our debut gig at a new venue. We all use the words he smashed/killed it, but he was better than that. If you don't believe me contact the Royal Oak, Bognor Regis: they now have his picture on the wall. OK, that's a lie, but definitely contact them or me. Thank you Neil."
Neil has been doing comedy since 2016. Work sent him on an extremely expensive management course and, in the wrap up, everyone was asked how they were going to take things forward in their career. Neil's reply was that the course had made him realise he didn't want to do any more work and wanted to take up comedy instead. "Come and see me afterwards: I can help you with that!" said the course leader, and so it began.
Neil's style is not quite one liner, but is short and sharp with multiple laughs per minute guaranteed as he tells you about his life experiences. Not much of it true to be honest, but that's not the point! "The idea with comedy is not to be too clever" he says which, in his case, is just as well.
He's done about 140 gigs now and has been very well received all across London, the South and the South West. He would very much like to venture further North once his earnings allow him to buy warm clothing.
Currently doing 10s, 15s and the odd 20. A customer once said "You were so funny that my sister nearly hyperventilated". He always carries a paper bag now.....just in case.
